J.T.
Banks
J.T. is a garage mechanic by day and the sexy lead singer. Equipped with long flowing locks, a hot bod, and a smile that could melt any girl's heart, J.T. is in the rock game as much for the babes as for music. He lives with his dad, a man who is down on his luck since he returned from Vietnam and his wife passed away. J.T. plays it cool, real cool, but underneath you can tell he's just aching to let someone in. And that someone might just be Hope. Shawn
Thompson Shawn knows all too well how show business mirrors life. He was singing and performing with his band, The Immortals, in New York when he was chosen to play J.T. on The Heights. Not just a singer, however, Shawn has a long list of acting credits that quickly convinced the casting director for The Heights that the right choice had been made. Shawn, a Upper Marlboro, MD native, had regular roles on the soaps As The World Turns and Ryan's Hope, in addition to co-starring in the films Diner, Blow Out and Dead Ringers. He has also jumped into the editing room and received credits for several film such as DJ Games (2000), The Chris Wylde Show (2001), and Sex & Violence (2002). When he's not acting or editing, Shawn stays plenty busy with his music, and has arranged original songs for the film soundtrack of Hell High, on which he also performed vocals.
